Cordyceps species have a reputation for being “a precious longevity-promoting herb.” The name cordyceps describes a genus of fungi that includes more than 400 unique species of parasitic types. Into the wild are mainly harvested in high mountain regions of the Himalayas in China, this is Ophiocordyceps sinensis. This wild fungus grows thought the body of caterpillar, it is very expensive more and more rare and is not sustainable to be collected. Cordyceps militaris has 85% same DNA as the wild one, but can be cultivated and sustainably organically grown. Cordyceps militaris can produce fruit bodies which are rich in cordicepin, adenosine and beta glucans, as well can be grown without any insects. Cordyceps militaris can be 100% Vegan.
